The Kildare Language Institute (KLI) is renowned for its academic excellence in the teaching and learning of English as an Additional Language. All our teachers are highly qualified, university graduate native speakers with years of experience teaching English as an Additional Language. As well as providing you with the highest standards of teaching we remain committed to ensuring that each student studies in a friendly, caring and supportive environment.
The Kildare Language Institute (KLI) offers an extensive range of English language courses including: Standard English, Intensive English, Business English, English for Special Purposes, as well as English for international exams such as Cambridge and IELTS. Junior Courses and Adult Courses are taught separately.

General Course Content
Each course is specifically structured with clear aims and objectives to ensure that each student makes significant progress on a weekly basis. All core areas are covered – Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, Vocabulary, Grammar, Pronunciation as well as other key areas. A significant emphasis is placed on students becoming more confident and fluent speaking the language. Students attending classes at the Kildare Language Institute also receive superior quality copyright notes. Students wishing to prepare for international exams (e.g. Cambridge) will receive detailed instruction on exam techniques to enhance their exam performance.
Various teaching techniques and stimuli are used to further enhance learning. Classes are taught in an interactive and relaxed atmosphere where students are encouraged to ask questions and participate fully in class. We monitor each student’s progress to ensure that he/she achieves his/her maximum potential.

Average class size: 10 – 12 students (max. 15 students). Student numbers in each class are kept low to ensure greater student interaction and progress!
Class Placement on the First Day
Class Placement on the First Day
Before students start English classes they do a short written exam in order to ascertain the appropriate English level for the student. A minimum of 6 students is required for a level to begin.

In addition, for parents / guardians of students under the age of 18, parents / guardians may also avail of a Parent / Guardian Online Account to access their son’s / daughter’s attendance records, exam grades, teacher comments and so much more. Ensuring Progress
Ensuring Progress
Each student is assessed weekly by way of a written and/or oral exam in order to ensure that he/she is making significant progress on a weekly basis.

Certificate
Upon successful completion of a course each student receives an official certificate certified by the Kildare Language Institute. In addition, each student also receives a detailed Progress Report. Certificates of Attendance are also available on request.
